MARKFED has done the highest amount of procurement in history during this rabi season. 520000 MT of agriculture crops procured as on 22 May 2020.

Procurement of agricultural commodities worth 1500 crs has been done during this rabi season; out of which over 1000 crs has been procured during lockdown on 16 May 2020.

Procurement of maize crossed 2 Lakh MT today on 14 May 2020.

Procurement of Jowar touches 50000 MT on 13 May 2020. Aiming to procure 150000 MT by the end of May.

Agriculture Marketing Department Govt of AP crossed procurement of one lakh MT of maize on 4 May 2020.

Procurement centres for three more crops - Onion, Ragi and Bajra to be opened by Andhra Pradesh Marketing Department. Onion and Bajra procurement centres to be opened in Kurnool. Procurement Centres for Ragi to be opened in Srikakulam, Guntur, Prakasam and Anantapuram Districts on 2 May 2020.

In a first of its kind in the country, Government of Andhra Pradesh has announced MSP for turmeric. Started the procurement on 30 April 2020 and 19MTS of turmeric procured since then.

Procurement of maize crosses 75000 MT worth Rs 131 Crores on 1 May 2020.

Agriculture Marketing Department has started procurement of Maize from 11th April, 2020 through decentralized procurement centres. Through these centres, we have procured 2173 MT of maize till 17 April 2020.
